Edit a message or try another answer

Edit your request

Use Edit message on your message, update the text and choose Save & resend. Later messages are saved as a conversation version so you can return to that earlier direction.

1. Wait for the current response to finish.
2. Choose Edit message and revise the request.
3. Review the change, then choose Save & resend.

Try another answer

Choose Regenerate below a completed response to ask again. Choose Change model to use a different model for the new answer. If you only need a small change, you can send a follow-up describing it instead.

Return to a saved version

When saved versions are available, open Conversation versions above the thread and select one. Version switching is unavailable while a response is running.

Use Copy below an answer to copy its text. If the clipboard is unavailable, select the response text and copy it manually.
