Choose and change a model

Pick a model for your task

Open the model picker beside the conversation composer. Browse the options currently available to your workspace and read their descriptions. Different models can produce different results from the same request.

1. Open the model picker and choose an available model.
2. Review the credit estimate for your request.
3. Send your message, then assess the response against your goal.

Favorites and project defaults

Use favorites to keep frequently used models easy to find. Project settings can set a default chat model; selecting that project can change the current model. Check the picker before sending when the choice matters.

Try another model on an existing answer

Use Change model below a completed response and choose another model to answer again. This creates a new response and uses credits. Changing the model for a future message does not rewrite earlier messages.
